New 2022 Toyota Tacoma: Heightened Experiences
A Good Thing Made Better
With the release of the new 2022 Toyota Tacoma, truck owners are going to experience even more capability and features. While the truck carries over much of the same equipment from the previous version, there are some great updates coming to the 2022 model year, especially to the Trail Edition and TRD Pro models. We have all of the details you want about the new Tacoma at Group 1 Toyota Rivertown. Schedule your visit today in Columbus, GA.
Plenty of Power & Style
As with the previous lineup, the new 2022 Toyota Tacoma still offers a potent 3.5-liter V-6 engine that produces 278 horsepower to create a maximum towing capacity of 6,800 pounds. While there is a six-speed automatic transmission available, some enthusiasts opt for the six-speed manual instead. News releases also indicate that the same body styles will be offered, including the highly-coveted Double Cab variant.
Inside the new Tacoma truck, you can expect to find the same level of technology and connectivity that you’ve grown accustomed to. With standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, you can seamlessly connect your wireless device to the system for on-road ease. All Tacoma models also include a SiriusXM® All-Access 3-month trial so you can add a little variety to your daily commute.
Updates to the 2022 Toyota Tacoma
For the new model year, the 2022 Toyota Tacoma has received some updates. Most notably is the revised Trail Edition, which gains a larger suspension lift (1.1” in the front and 0.5” in the rear). It also adds better approach and breakover angles. This model earned off-road skid plates, the same that are found with the TRD Off-Road. It also provides a standard rear locking differential, unique bronze 16” TRD wheels and special hood graphics. What’s most impressive is the Lunar Rock paint color option that adds complete style.
The new 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro also earned a few updates for the upcoming model year. As with the Trail Edition, there is a suspension lift that is increased. The breakover, approach and departure angles were also improved. To create more rebound stroke, TRD forged aluminum upper control arms were added. This Toyota truck also stands out from the other models because of the 16” black TRD wheels riding on Goodyear tires and the black Tacoma badge found on the front door. Complete the look with the eye-popping Electric Lime Metallic paint to really stand out in a crowd.
